Stake Conference

This past weekend we had a wonderful Stake Conference! Lucky for us we had a couple visiting general authorities and ours just happened to be Elder Hamula! It was so fun to have him here, especially for Curt! At the adult session on saturday night Elder Hamula stood up to speak and said what a joy it was to be here and..."if he wasn't mistaken that's Bro. Dana out there!" Curt's face turned beat red too when he said over the pulpit, "I was his bishop when he was born and now he's all grown up & EVEN married!!!" (: I think inside Curt really appreciated the recognition. He looks up to him so much and loves their family. It was fun getting to visit with him after and catch up a little. Not only was the visit nice, but we learned SO much! A ton was said about going to the temple often, especially being here in Logan it's not even a 5 minute drive. The blessing there are remarkable and Curt and I have really enjoyed being in the situation where we have the opportunity to go whenever we want. The topic of enjoying each other now was touched on many times. Elder Hamula especially emphasized the point. He told us before we know it our husbands will be gone at work all day and serving in the church the rest of the time. And us wives are going to have to get used to sharing our husbands! Kinda scary to think about(: And like always we were advised to stay out of debt & to live within our means. It is such a great reminder even more now when the world has become so unstable! Anyways, it was a great uplifting weekend! And on top of it all we got to have the conference at the beautiful Logan Tabernacle! We sure are continuing to learn a lot each day and know the Lord is blessing us!
