Memorial Day Weekend & Our Sadee

This past weekend was so nice! We relaxed a lot and even decided to take a little drive up to Bear Lake. Neither one of us have been there before, so it was exciting. We didn't get to stay very long cause the rain clouds rolled in(:

After we had made it back we learned that the water is so blue because of limestone deposits into the lake. Kinda intersting!

Curt captured our shadows...I thought it was neat!

On our drive back through Logan Canyon we found this BEAUTIFUL waterfall from the run-off that looked so pretty it couldn't be real.

It sure was...we climbed up it and this picture here is from the top!

We have both been wanting to plant flowers now that it's warm enough so that was our family night! Isn't he too cute...I sure love him!

This is what it looks like from the grass..
Up close of some...

Up close of the others!
We hope you all enjoyed your long weekend...sorry we're a little late):

Oh and here is a little memorial to my sweet little dog Sadee, I sure miss her but we made great memories with her these past 15 years~

SPRING TIME

We are loving Spring! Sorry for all of you down in Arizona dying from 100 degree weather already, we wish you could be here. It's been a fun Spring so far. Especially because we are so used to Spring lasting just a couple weeks, it's so nice to be able to enjoy it a bit longer here. If you don't already know tulips are my FAVORITE flower. Curt spoiled me and took me around and showed me all these beautiful spots where they have bloomed.

This first one is from Aggie Village (our apartments)

Here are some from the Temple...I'm now thinking why didn't we get married in May?!!

Besides soaking in the beautiful weather we have had a BIG change to our apartment. Housing came in and replaced our huge sliding glass window for a window and a door! We are SO happy not to have that huge draft join us again for this next winter.
Before...

After...

We still need to get some curtains for the window, but we are really enjoying it! (Hope the pictures helped bring it to reality Mom!)
Last weekend we went down to Ogden on a date with some of our best friends here Cody & Jen Gunnell. We went to a place called the Solamon Center which has anything and everything to do. From surfing on a pool wave to pretend sky diving (but you really are in the air) to movies, arcades and food. We got some yummy pizze (good choice Jen) and played games like little kids at the arcade and saw a movie! It was so fun, we haven't been on a date like that in a long time!

Jen & I playing ski ball. Jen also played a few other games but the picture are fuzzy):

Here is Cody & Curt playing paintball that lasted forever they were so good!
Besides all this fun stuff we are both enjoying work and really looking forward to going to the Beach in about 2 weeks!!! Congrats on graduating to both Jordan & Jared!

Good News!

So this past week I have been going crazy feeling lazy and not productive at all. School has been out now for 2 weeks and it feels like I haven't done anything for months. So the plan was to job hunt the week after school got out and that's what I did. Unfortunately, I thought there would be many more job options just incase things don't work out for one or the other. So the first monday off I found on Utah State's website that a summer landscaping job was open for the campus. I have always loved being outside planting flowers, making the yard look nice, so I thought it'd be perfect. I made a phone call and set up an appointment and the first available time was on May 13th. A little over a week from when I called. I found a way to keep myself busy and not go crazy in the mean time waiting. Curt was so helpful and gave me all these pointers of how to have a great interview seeing how it was my very first. HE's a pro @ that! So I went in and did what he said and was simply myself. I felt pretty good about getting the job UNTIL the man who was interviewing me said, "Now there are 60 people interviewing and only 18 positions available. You will get a call by the end of the work day on friday IF you're successful." The best part of it was that my really great friend Jen Gunnell applied too, so we talked back and forth seeing if she had gotten a call or if I had gotten a call. The end of the work day was drawing near on thursday, almost 4...and my phone rings with a 797 #. (all usu # begin with 797) So to say the least I was going crazy inside, had to get my composure back and answer the phone. Sure enough it was Utah State asking if I would like the job! "YES," I said! Not too long after Jen got called as well! WHOO...I am so excited to have a job and especially to be working with her, she's a blast! I thought I'd put this picture up of a landscape in honor of the celebration...too bad Utah State's campus is not quite as beautiful as Hawaii!!(:

School's Out...WOoHOo

The end has come...FINALLY!!! This semester has been quite the whirlwind. From starting my major courses, which ended up being a blast, to getting through anatomy, it was quite the ride. It's funny how things change when you look back at them rather than while you are going through them. This past week was finals week so I only went to class when I had an exam, but the previous week gave me the heads up of how to prepare. So I was at my last class for Skills 1 which was my favorite this semester...all about volleyball, football, & swimming and my teacher, Doc. Fronske taught me a great lesson. (She is just one of those teachers that you'll never forget) I was sitting on the field waiting for class to start and going over my anatomy notes and Doc came over and asked me what I was up to. So I told her, "just getting ready for my anatomy final." She said, "Has it made you a better person?" And I told her, "I sure hope so!" She said to me, "Well I took a few of those classes and they made me a better person." I have thought about it since that day and I know it's what made this week possible(: Now that I look back I wish I had that kind of attitude all of the semester for anatomy. She sure gave me the opportunity to make this week different. It's amazing how much your attitude can change little steps and even the outcome. So it has been such a neat experience! Now instead of dreading PHYSIOLOGY next semester I get to look forward to it and try and become a better person.
